Prof. Shosei Yoshida

Prof. Shosei Yoshida is head of the division of stem cell biology at the National Institute for Basic Biology in Okozaki, Japan.

His work aims on fully understanding the mammalian spermatogenic stem cell system, mainly using the mouse system. In particular his lab is investigating the cellular nature of the stem cell compartment and their behaviors in the in homeostatic spermatogenesis as well as the anatomical basis and function of the mammalian spermatogenic stem cell niche.
