About the Palace de Caux
The Caux Palace Hotel is a former palace hotel located in the village of Caux, above the city of Montreux. Inaugurated on 7 July 1902, it soon became an international venue first in the early 20th century as a luxury hotel, then from 1946 on as an international conference center dedicated to the rebuilding of Europe under the leadership of the Swiss Initiatives of Change team. Today, the Caux-Palace Hotel is listed as a cultural property of national significance in Switzerland.

How to reach the Palace de Caux
Caux is easily reachable by train either from Geneva Airport (recommended) or Zurich Airport. For exact traveling times and connections, consult www.rail.ch and https://www.sbb.ch/en/home.html
The site is also accessible by car, however, this is not recommended as only a few parking spaces will be accessible on-site. If you are traveling by car from Lausanne/Vevey, you should avoid the route passing by “Les Avants” as this will take you on a long and complicated curvy mountain road. Select instead the route passing by “Clarens” or “Montreux Gare”.
Arriving from Geneva Airport (recommended): Take the train directly to Geneva Airport station and head towards Geneva-Lausanne-Montreux. At Montreux station, get off and take the train to Caux station. The palace is located 30m (<1min walk) from the station. The overall train ride will take 1 h 40min.
Arriving from Zürich Airport (not recommended): Take the train directly at the Zürich Airport station toward Lausanne. In Lausanne, change to train to go toward Montreux. At the Montreux station, get off and take the train to Caux station. The palace is located 30m (<1min walk) from the station. The overall train ride will take 3 h 30min.
